Portugese Superstar Becomes First to Break European Century Mark

The big story earlier today, was how Cristiano Ronaldo was in the middle of his longest  Champions League goal drought in over eight years. He was currently riding a streak of over 600 minutes with out a goal. Kind of a big deal.

Yet, just as if it was drawn up that way the slump was snapped at the perfect moment. With his team trailing by a goal to Bayern Munich, the popular midfielder scored two second half goals to secure the victory for Real Madrid.

Critics have been starting to herald the decline of Ronaldo’s career as his goal ratio has dropped from one every 89 minutes to one every 123.

To top it all off, the second goal made him the first player to net 100 European goals. At 32 years old, detractors are wondering how much longer Ronaldo has left. His fans are hoping that this successful revives him at least for the near future.
