The Bucks stay hot as they move to 11-3 in the month of March and just keep moving up the ladder in the playoff picture in the East.
Giannis Antetokounmpo just keeps getting better and tonight he proved it again as he filled up the scorecard with a 34 point, 13 rebound, 5 assist, 3 block and 2 steal performance against the Hawks who came into the night with exactly a one game lead over the Bucks. As gaudy as those numbers are, the stats don’t even begin to explain how great the “Greek Freak” was in this one.
Also coming up big in this one, was rookie, Malcolm Brogdon, who dumped in 14 points to go with 7 dimes. Two of the points came on a monster baseline dunk that shows the youngsters growing confidence in himself as the playoffs approach.
With ten games left in the season, you can almost feel Bucks fans tensing up and waiting for the grand collapse that leaves everyone shaking their head over the summer. However, these guys just keep getting better. After losing 8 out of 9 games to end the month of January and 6 out of 11 in February the Bucks have refused to give up.
Led by solid play from Dennis Schroeder, Atlanta refused to go away late in the game. The star guard hit a layup with 29 seconds left to tie everything up at 96.
However, backup center, Greg Monroe, hit a layup to give the Bucks a lead they would never lose ok back from. “Moose” had yet another double-double as he continues to prove his doubters wrong.
On Monday the Bucks finish the two game home-stand against the Bulls before packing up to head out to Charlotte and Boston, then back home to face the Pistons and finish up the month.
