In an interesting move the Washington Redskins have signed former Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor. He visited with the team yesterday and left to pursue other offers. Today he signs a 1 year $8 million contract with the Redskins.
This is a surprisingly good move from the Redskins who just fired their GM. The deal is fiscally responsible and they are not tied to Pryor should he not continue to develop. Pryor came out of college as a QB and switched to WR in the summer of 2015. The Redskins just lost their two top WR’s in free agency as Pierre Garçon joins his former offensive coordinator, now head coach Kyle Shannahan in San Francisco and DeSean Jackson signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This is an inexpensive move to see if Pryor can consistently live up to the potential he flashed over last season. This also gives Kirk Cousins another weapon to throw to on the outside should he remain in Washington.
